Huacaya Alpacas

Isabella is everything a foundation female should be with excellent bone structure and conformation and a regal bearing. Her sire, Charles P Atlas, has produced some very nice show animals and Isabella is no exception. Izzy has the bloodlines of Quetzel, Timoteo, Matador and 6Patocha's Gold. Isabella has proven to be an excellent mother and produced two of the animals on our farm, both of which have her very nice demeanor and posess the excellent density, crimp and desirable micron she exhibits in her own fleece. She is easy to do herd health with, yet she prefers to be off with her group of female friends. Isabella's appeal is the ability to breed her to light or dark males due to her white, fawn, and black ancestry. On our farm, her cria reflected the color of the sire. She is a really, really super foundation female, and still has breeding potential. She tends to bring out the best of the sires' characteristics while adding density and crimp. Two of her offspring each won first place in their halter class at the 2017 Carolina Alpaca Celebration.

Lunatari was born around the full moon in December 2008 when everything seemed to glow, even at night. Her fleece has an incredible glowing brightness, hence the name Lunatari. She is conformationally correct. Her fiber forms nice tight bundles, has excellent character, density, and brilliance. Her breeder said that she almost looked like a suri cria before her first and second shearing, that's how long her fleece was. She has been a consistent award winner among tough competitors and handspinners love it, even selling before shearing! She is a beautiful alpaca and yarn made from her fleece has an impressive luster and sells easily. Her pedigree is full of well known herdsires and dams. Her dam, Julia's Starlight, has consistently produced high award winning crias, especially in white. Lunatari has NWA, LTD The Gentleman and Hemingway in her lineage. Lunatari is the second cria sired by Spruce Ridge Felix Augusto and on her sire's side, there is Maple Brook Oro's Prince, Peruvian Felix, Oro, Peruvian Augusto, and MFI Peruvian Destiny. Although her pedigree is impressive, and her fiber is gorgeous, she doesn't fit into our breeding program any longer. She is being offered at a very affordable price. Even though we have had great success with her fiber, we are now in the process of making some business changes by adding more color diversity to our herd (which is almost totally white) and is why we are selling her at such a low price. You could easily recoup her cost from the sales of roving and yarn made from her fleece.

Hope is a graceful,lovely near full Peruvian (she has one great-great granddam who is not listed as Peruvian) proven female who boasts of lineage from Snowmass Legacy Gold, 4Peruvian Legacy, PPPeruvian Augusto, 6Peruvian Accoyo Amelia and PPPeruvian Pisco Sour. Hope is a very nice foundation female. Her first cria, a female out of Superstition's White Magic, is equally lovely and took after her mom with long staple length, luster and crimp. Hope produces a heavy fleece with a superb staple length, nice character and acceptable micron. Her fleece has remained consistent. When I had it spun into finger weight yarn I was pleasantly surprised by the large quantity of produced skeins and the minimal amount of discards. A very nice consistent and marketable product. I would love to keep her on my farm, but I am changing breeding strategies. She is a very affordable alpaca with great fiber. Hope also has a skin condition that requires monitoring. She is also up for trade.

Baby Spice is a gorgeous alpaca! She has buttery soft fleece with an excellent handle. Check out her impressive fiber stats and winnings. She has excellent conformation and a nice architecture to her fleece with an adequate staple. She has very low number of extending primaries in her fleece and better than average density. On closer inspection she is a beige with a light fawn spot or two which you can really only see after shearing. She came from California so her genetics are not common here. She is the daughter of Accoyo America Achilles, a well known PCA El Nino son. Her dam is a patterned Chilean import with a great production record. Ms. Spice, as I call her, is classy, has stunning stature, is good natured and easy to work with. Spice is proven, a good mom and fun to interact with, she has a great sense of humor. Ms. Spice is a foundation female with impressive lineage. She will add dimension to your herd or in a starter herd. She is selling with a breeding to one of the sires on my farm.

Brenda Lee is a half Accoyo, beautiful and sweet girl with gorgeous, expressive eyes. She has size, bone, correct confirmation with a beautiful head. Brenda Lee is half sister to D. Accoyo Degas, 2006 AOBA National Conference Reserve Gr. Champion and 2006 Double Champion-Ohio Triple Crown. Her sire won the prestigious 2002 AOBA National Alpaca Show in Full Fleece for a juvenile Huacaya DB Male. We wish that Brenda Lee had gotten the chance to compete before she joined our herd a couple of years ago. I am told that her first cria had a 16.7 micron count. Now she has had her second cria, female, and third, a male, with us. Needless to say, we're very excited about her offspring. She is a superb mother. Brenda Lee was bred by Nel Vickers, wife to the late Dr. Jim Vickers of Maplewood Farm, Charlevoix, MI. Dr. Vickers was actively involved in the selection and sales of the first and subsequent importations of llamas and alpacas from Peru to the United States. Nel Vickers has over 30 years experience in the camelid industry. Call me if you want to add Accoyo genetics to your farm with a solid foundation female.

Jewel's breeder knew when she saw this baby standing behind her mother for the first time that she was a very special cria. When we saw her for the first time, we knew she would make a great addition to our foundation herd. She's curious and friendly, but sometimes, shy. Although she's registered as a dark fawn, she has slowing turned a rose grey--a beautiful and unusual color. Jewel's attitude is sweet and playful and she gets along with everyone. These are great traits that she passed on to her first cria. For the hand spinners, she has a very fine fiber, measuring 18 microns with a standard deviation of only 3.7 microns. It's so very soft and makes beautiful yarn. Although we would hate to part with her, she would add quality to your herd.

Belgiola's name incorporates the names of both his dam, Isabella, and sire, Bellagio's Goliath. He is living up to his genetic inheritance, exhibiting soft, crimpy and dense fiber. As you can see, is continues the winning tradition of his dam and sire. At the 2017 Carolina Alpaca Celebration where he won blue, the judges prized his solid stature, compactness, and density, fineness and consistency of fleece at 5 years old. As you know, the fawns are highly competitive. He clearly is holding those all important characteristics for which he won his ribbons. Belgiola's sire is the Color Champion Fawn Male (Virginia Classic), Bellagio's Goliath, owned by Carolina Pride Alpacas. BB as he is know here, has the genetics of Fantasma and SA Accoyo Royal Avenger having a bold crimp style, fineness, density, and solid stature. Bellagio is a quality macho and his son, Belgiola is gentle and endearing and shows off his stunning ancestral characteristics, just take a look at his coloring and solid conformation. Lets not sell the rest of his lineage short, either--PPPeruvian Royal Fawn 6014, PPPeruvian Augusto 6009, PPPeruvian Timeoto, PPeruvian Cornus, Charles P. Atlas, 4Peruvian Matador 6030, 5Peruvian Chabacana 8678 are all in his bloodline. This guy has color there also--LF, MF, BG, WH, TB. Belgiola truly meets our farm's breeding and fiber goals; he is registered as a dark fawn but you have to see the maroon coloring in his fleece, it is just gorgeous. Belgiola has thrown females and medium fawn and dark brown coloring! Belgolia is my favorite on the farm. I do encourage you to consider adding his genetics to yours.
